BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION
Tasleem has over 18 years of diverse consulting experience in both agency- and client-side environments. Areas of focus include corporate strategy, global marketing and communications, human resources, and corporate and internal communications. Tasleem’s unique, generalist experience allows her to engage quickly within a variety of internal landscapes — with clients of all backgrounds and companies of all sizes. She coaches executives to address and enhance their skill sets, progress their careers, and realize their potential.
Tasleem worked at American Express in the Chief Human Resources Officer’s Executive Office as a senior communications advisor to the leadership team of the global human resources organization based in New York. As Director of Marketing & Communications, she was responsible for the design, planning and execution of HR communications programs, initiatives, and strategies that affected over 60,000 employees globally.
Prior to this, Tasleem managed Communications, Branding, and Advertising for American Express’s Global Commercial Card business. Earlier in her career, she gained broad industry experience at Deloitte Consulting in New York and BMO Nesbitt Burns (the investment banking arm of the Bank of Montreal) in Toronto, Canada, where she managed corporate sponsorships.
Tasleem has also worked with numerous Fortune 100 companies across financial services, technology, healthcare, and consumer verticals, among others. She is currently a mentor at 1776vc, a Washington, D.C.-based global incubator and seed fund that helps startups transform industries around the world.
Tasleem holds a Certification in Organizational & Executive Coaching from New York University and is Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® (MBTI®) certified. In addition, she holds a double honors bachelor’s degree in urban and economic geography/environment and resource management from the University of Toronto, and a master’s degree in integrated marketing communications from Northwestern University.
