Celia C. Lovell is a senior executive coach with Executive Coaching Network, Inc. (EXCN). Celia has over eight years of experience consulting with major companies and a governmental agency seeking to energize performance through leadership development. Her ability to significantly advance the leadership skills of top executives has led to important and measurable results, not only for the business or agency involved, but also for the individual. Prior to joining EXCN, Celia was a leader in the Law Department of Norfolk Southern Corporation, responsible for management of 50 percent of the litigation of the corporation and successfully pursued a case before the United States Supreme Court in 1999. She made extensive use of her mentoring and coaching skills in the development of a significant number of in-house attorneys and outside counsel.
Also while at Norfolk Southern, Celia represented the corporation before the legislative and executive branches of the Federal Government in Washington, D.C., for ten years. The nature of the work involved extensive use of negotiation and team- and consensus-building skills.
Celia is a graduate of Stanford University and the Georgetown University Law Center. In addition, she is currently pursuing studies toward a C.F.P. designation.
Celia is also active in community service, serving on the Boards of various charitable and educational organizations in the Washington, D.C., area.
